Art fag report 1.8.2015- it was cold getting to this lovely little spot off essex/east broadway.  not too crowded. basically old people do not go out when it is this cold in nyc, either that or only the very broke /committed drunks were willing to schlep out in the frigid temperatures to check out """"contemporary art""" for the free  Pabst Blue Ribbon.  the‪#‎obamadepression‬ forced this gallery owner to merge/sell/c and change the name on the previous incarnation (((( the second time i went to this place there was a naked bartender (male - with table not placed strategically high)))) and the place was packed. this time around it was a sad bucket of awful pabst blue ribbon in a bucket without ice. no wine. clear sign of the times..............................the art was okay with significant collateral art positive qualities, i.e., the "art" has potential to be ‪#‎makeyoumoneytastic‬ if you are a sleazy art flipper, with a few of the art  pieces actually nice to have in your home if you happen to like them. lots of colours and there was enough thought put into the stuff and actual brush strokes which indicated the artist wasn't so limited they had to stencil/sketch the entire """"art""" onto the canvas before paint to canvas. granted i dont see that well so there could have been some pencil marks but if so they were covered up nicely. this was a good gallery open, in that, if I had a few thousand to spend, I would walk away with one or two of the things hanging.  Sargents daughtersSaira McLaren a day and the night January 8 - February 8, 2015.
